Alexis Normand is a Fransaskoise emerging filmmaker from Saskatoon who has a deep obsession with the prairies. She began her career in the arts as an award-winning songwriter before shifter her career towards documentary filmmaking – a medium that fosters more authenticity and vulnerability in her practice, and provides a different way to experience and document human interaction. She is drawn to identity stories as well as ones that discuss language, belonging and roots.
